the Gatekeepers at the Door of Grace

What have we called faithfulness that was actually fear?

The Church was never called to guard grace as though Christ were fragile.

Yet across generations, fear has often learned to speak with holy language. It calls itself wisdom, discernment, stewardship, purity, order, protection, or faithfulness. It builds gates where Jesus set tables. It teaches wounded people to brace in the very places where they were meant to breathe.

The Gatekeepers at the Door of Grace is a theological reckoning with the culture of exclusion practiced in the name of Christ. With pastoral depth and prophetic clarity, T. W. Hundley examines how fear reshapes belonging, authority, doctrine, community, witness, and the body itself. This is not a book written against the Church, but for her healing; not to discard truth, but to ask whether our truth-telling still looks like Jesus.

Moving from diagnosis to reconstruction, Hundley calls the Church away from guarded grace and toward a faith spacious enough for confession, repair, discernment, gentleness, embodied trust, and shared life. He asks what might become possible when grace is no longer rationed by fear, when power kneels, when testimony is heard, when the table is set, and when the gate is finally left open.

This is a book for wounded believers, weary leaders, questioning Christians, spiritual exiles, and all who still believe the Church is worth loving enough to tell the truth.

Out of Egypt

Out of Egypt is an in-progress work of theological restoration, tracing how God’s story of liberation has been distorted into a tool of control—and how it can be reclaimed. Using Exodus as a framework, it reimagines salvation not as escape from sin alone, but as deliverance from systems that erase bodies, silence identities, and weaponize faith. This unfinished work offers a developing vision of freedom that restores LGBTQ people not merely to dignity, but to belonging, vocation, and life within the people of God.
